We are proud to serve own brand of ceremonial grade matcha sourced directly from an independent family farm in Nishio, Japan. The entire MatchaBar founding team makes a pilgrimage to the farm every May for the spring harvest! The term “ceremonial” indicates that it is meant for the tea ceremony, rather than “ingredient” grade matcha, which is generally meant for cooking , thus lacking in caffeine, nutrients and amino acids. The beautiful, electric green color of our matcha is a testament to its excellent quality. It has an earthy full-bodied flavor, with a creamy texture, natural sweetness, and a strong umami after-taste.
